Meet The Team

Below are the members of staff and volunteer workers who help run and maintain Huxley's.

Julian Ford                                                                         Stephanie Ford

Huxley's is only possible due to the hard work and dedication of the owners Julian and Stephanie Ford.

Before the creation of Huxley's, Julian kept and trained 80 birds whilst working as a highly qualified horticulturist.
He is well known for his innate ability to hold an audience enthralled with a highly entertaining combination of informative dialogue and humour.

Stephanie joined Julian at Huxley's in 2001, after initially volunteering at the Centre.
Having always had a passion for wildlife, conservation and birds of prey it was Steph's greatest challenge and, she felt, a huge responsibility to be able to fly and take care of such a fascinating collection of birds.

Volunteer Workers:

Despite the hard work from the owners, the centre could not run with out the immense help from its volunteers!
Julian and Steph are joined by Sara, Sarah, Nikki, and Claire; some of whom have worked for up to 7 years at the centre! As well as the girls, we have a group of young lads who too give up their time to help clean the aviaries, fly the birds and provide a pleasant atmosphere for our visitors!  All our volunteers are trained to a high standard to enable Huxley's to provide a high standard of care to our birds and visitors!
