Educational Visits

We firmly believe that the way to protect and conserve for the future is through education. Therefore, we are happy to visit schools with a selection of our birds of prey and owls. We can adjust our talk and demonstration to cover the topics required through all key stages, and all age ranges from reception upwards. We will also provide the children with the opportunity to get close to and maybe even hold an owl. We encourage the classes to have questions ready to ask us - you'd be surprised how detailed these can be!

We also welcome schools to visit us here at the Centre, where they will see all our birds on display. Some come to see us for a morning or afternoon, and some bring picnic lunch and spend the day with us. Whichever you choose, you can be sure that the children will learn a lot, through a talk and questions session, handling or stroking an owl and watching a flying display.

There is also a quiz which children can take around the Centre and discover whether they are right before the flying display begins.

Our visits can be for a morning or for a whole day and are becoming increasingly popular. We can guarantee that the children (and adults) will have an experience to remember; after all, what better way to learn and remember than meeting the real thing.
